Andere Eltern

Andere Eltern

Because there are no day-care places in Cologne-Nippes, a few ambitious big-city parents set up their own parent-run initiative – and a documentary filmmaker captures the chaos. Lutz Heineking, jr.’s mockumentary is almost completely improvised: characters and plot were only sketched out, and most scenes were shot in a single take with two cameras. Timing, punchlines and story arc were only created in the edit.
