“The Guests” celebrates its world premiere at Filmfest München
Today “The Guests” (Die Gäste / Os invitados) by Cristina Diz and Stefan Butzmühlen celebrates its world premiere at the 43rd Filmfest München – in the CineCoPro competition, followed by a Q&A at the ASTOR ARRI Kino. The film was edited by Christoph Cepok.

1973: young Spanish guest worker Iria and socialist student Hajo drive Iria’s terminally ill mother Maura from West Germany back to her home village in Galicia in a borrowed car. What begins as a hopeful road trip becomes a test of their relationship – across cultures and political systems, all the way into Franco’s Spain.
Starring Greta Fernández, Jan Bülow, Mercedes Castro and Santi Prego. Cinematography: Rui Poças. Production: Match Factory Productions and Frida Films. A second screening with Q&A follows tomorrow at 7:30 pm at City 2.
